Cornwall Art Studio is a working art studio in Wadebridge. Tracey Hunter has been painting at this location for the past 4 years and has now decided to open this facility to a larger audience. Requiring assistance to fit the workshops in with her busy painting schedule, Tracey has enlisted the help of Julia Makin to run an exciting programme of art workshops.

With a life long passion for art, Tracey has been painting and exhibiting for years.

Although gaining top grades for art at school & college,Tracey regards herself as a self taught artist, but also feels gifted with the artistic genes of her father.

Tracey produces her work in many mediums but prefers acrylics or oils for their strength of colour and versatility. Subjects to include sea, landscapes, portraiture and figurative. Her paintings have been sold internationally and her work has been added to many private collections.

You can see Tracey's paintings at the following galleries:

Fernlea Gallery, St Ives

Market House Gallery, Marazion

Karensa Art, Padstow

Eliza The Gallery

Tracey has had the privilege of working with local year 6 primary school students for the past 4 years, teaching them the step by step procedures of creating their own masterpiece. These one off pieces of art would then be entered into an art exhibition for sale with the proceeds going to local charities. This experience has urged Tracey to pursue art workshops for everyone!

Julia Makin

Having been one of Tracey's art 'students' in the past, Julia has been producing her own acrylic paintings for some time. Now as part of Cornwall Art Studio, Julia will be organising the bookings and attending the workshops to offer support & advice.

'Learning to paint has been a life changing experience for me. I never thought I would be able to create a work of art and in fact, I was even scared to pick up a paint brush and have a go. Tracey's friendly and relaxed 'you can do it' attitude gave me the confidence to learn.'

'Maybe you have always wanted to paint, but have never known how to. Our workshops will bring art to everyone and not only will you learn a new skill but you may even make a few new friends in the process.'
